Dean of the Faculty Gregory Hess  Gregory Hess is CMC's Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean of the Faculty, James G. Boswell Professor of Economics and George R. Roberts Fellow.
The Dean of the Faculty's office is committed to the pursuit of excellence in all of CMC's academic affairs. We support our outstanding faculty of teacher-scholars in their efforts to educate our students for responsible and productive lives in business and the professions. We oversee the curriculum of the College, as well as curricular efforts taken in conjunction with the other members of The Claremont Colleges. We also support our faculty in their continuing dedication to scholarly pursuits.
Faculty members are encouraged to consult with the Dean of the Faculty's office in all areas of academic concern.

The Dean of the Faculty's office is directly served by the Dean, a Senior Associate Dean, two Associate Deans, the Director of Academic Administration, the Director of Academic Planning and an Administrative Assistant.
Other associated offices within the fold of Academic Affairs are Forensics, Information Technology Services (ITS), the Teaching Resource Center, The Center for Writing and Public Discourse, as well as the Offices of the Center for Global Education, Registrar, and Sponsored Research.
