Get feedback on writing and presentations for any class at CMC!
The staff at the Writing Center works with CMC students on an individual basis and will also help students enrolled in CMC courses. We review drafts of papers at any stage of the writing process from any and all disciplines, including the Senior Thesis. Students can also make an appointment with one of our trained consultants to practice and discuss class presentations.
We help students refine the argumentation of their essays and the clarity of their prose. We are not, however, a copy-editing or proofreading service. We do not provide tutoring for take-home exams, nor can we spend more than one hour with a student on a single assignment.
We recommend students use TutorTrac to make an appointment with a specific consultant at the Writing Center, yet we do see students on a walk-in basis, provided there is not another appointment scheduled for that time. Each appointment lasts for one half-hour.
The Writing Center can also help with essays and assignments in Chinese, French, German, and Spanish. (See consultant schedule for details.)
